Data Protection
As you are probably aware, the law on data protection in the UK changed on the 25 May 2018. The Data Protection Act 2018 which applies the Europe-wide General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to the UK.
The new rules change the rights that you have in respect of your data. For further information on this, please see the ICO website https://ico.gov.uk. The rights are:

- The right of access
- The right to rectification
- The right to erasure
- The right to restrict processing
- The right to data portability
- The right to object
- Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling.
How we use Pupil information
We collect and hold personal information relating to our pupils and may also receive information about them from their previous school, local authority and/or the Department for Education (DfE). We use this personal data to:
- Support our pupils’ learning
- Monitor and report on their progress
- Provide appropriate pastoral care; and
- Assess the quality of our services
