Calvert Trust 2019

Another group of Beacon Hill students have embarked on an epic adventure. This time to Calvert Trust in Kielder. This is an annual residential which gives the students an awesome experience in the great outdoors.

With this being pretty much in the middle of nowhere, communications are sketchy at best, but we will do our best to keep you up to date with what’s going on.

The group arrived safely, after having stopped at Hexham to pick up supplies, before moving on to Calvert Trust. Everyone settled in and unpacked. Then figured out how to work the TV. Its the important things!!
We’ve had a nice dinner in the restaurant and then an early night.

Some pictures of the picturesque landscape we saw on our journey here

Just had breakfast and are getting ready for Archery.

A fun packed day so far, lots of nice food, but not so nice midges this morning during our archery session

However we scared them off with our screams on the zipwire. We finished the afternoon with a buggy ride around the beautiful area

Sports in the sports hall and a chill out in the sensory room

This morning orienteering and bush craft, then the scary King Swing. Lots of walking in the sunshine ! Going back now to chill and watch a film.

We also found some hammocks 🙂

A few more images from yesterday.

We went for a trip into Hexham. Here’s some pics of sightseeing and bowling!
