World Mental Health Day

On Wednesday we will be taking part in activities across the school to raise awareness of World Mental health Day. Some of the activities will include:

  • design hashtags about mental health for display e.g #itstimetotalk!
  • explore mental health awareness slogans/quotes and create your own e.g ‘lets get rid of the fear and talk about mental health.’
  • explore with pupils what makes them happy and create a pledge of happiness
  • image.pngexplore what services are available to our students if they require
  • complete an act of kindness challenge with your class for the day.
  • explore emotions and feeling activities.

The following link will take you to the  HandsUp4HealthyMinds toolkit designed to provide bitesize facts and tips on the mental health of young people aged 8-24. It’s filled with practical tips, links and downloadable content for parents, schools, colleges, universities, youth organisations and practitioners, as well as some self-care tips for young people themselves.

I hope you find it useful.
